I'm in the process of building, are you able to offer me an hourly consult?

Accepted Answer

We do not offer hourly consultations, as our studio is now exclusively focused on delivering our specialised design services. Depending on your project, we can assist with Architectural Colour & Material Selections, Bespoke Interior Architecture & Design, or Furniture Curation.If you're unsure which service best suits your project, get in touch. We'll discuss your goals and prepare a tailored proposal to ensure you receive the right level of design support.

Question 4

I've just completed my building design with my architect / building designer, when is the best time to get in touch?

Accepted Answer

The sooner the better! Ideally we like to begin working with you on the design process well before the slab is poured to allow us the ultimate flexibility in design and selections.  From a technical stand point we ideally like to work in tandem when your home has come out of council and the architectural documentation is underway. This also allows us the freedom to make spatial adjustments to plans before they are built, saving you time and money making changes through the build process.

I feel completely overwhelmed by the building process picking tapware, flooring, paint colours, cabinetry colours etc. can you help me?

This is specifically why we created the Colour Selections Package – it has the ability to curate and select all the colours, materials and selections required by your builder. Ensuring continuity of design internally and externally. With our years of industry experience we will be able to "take out the overwhelm" and make this process straight forward and enjoyable – as it should be! What kind of timeframe is the Design Documentation

Accepted Answer

This is the most detailed and comprehensive design solution we offer. It is somewhat dependant on the scale on your home; however allowing from 6 weeks within your timeframes will allow us to do a thorough detailed design, documentation and selection process for your new home.

Who do you work with?

Accepted Answer

We work alongside builders, building designers, architects or directly with the home owner.
A popular service amongst builders is our Colour Selections service, which would be similar to that of a Prestart.
Working in tandem with building designers and architects allows a refined and considered and collaborative approach to the internal spaces for each client.

What happens once we start building?

Accepted Answer

A lot of what we do is essentially finished before you even hit construction (in an ideal world) so you'll be seeing Estetica Design Studio a little less often. However, we LOVE to keep track and be a part of the construction process, a part of your contract is if there is a need for onsite consultation, or query that we are available to solve any issues that may arise in person or via correspondence. We are with you all of the way and at the end, when your home is handed over, we like to spoil our clients by showing our gratitude to allowing us the privilege of being a part of creating their home.

When should we start discussing furniture?

As lead times can be lengthy depending on the supplier, we advise to begin the conversation about furniture curation at least 8 months prior to when you expect your home to be finished being built. This allows us the time to curate the spaces with no pressure, and then place the orders ensuring that they will arrive when we need it!

How much should we budget for furniture?

Accepted Answer

For a full home fit out, we would advise budgeting 10-20% of the construction cost of your home. It can be done for less, and certainly achieved spending more, but this is a realistic figure to keep in mind. As part of our service we manage the budget for you so prior to accepting any selections you are well aware of where everything it sitting from a financial stand point.

What happens if we want to change or return something after its delivered?

Accepted Answer

Each suppliers quotation will have their individual terms and conditions, these are sent to you prior to you placing the order. It is not Estetica Design Studio’s responsibility to manage a change in mind should that occur.

Question 13

For a Furniture Curation, what do we receive?

Accepted Answer

You will receive layout plans, montages of the rooms, a budget and ordering spreadsheet all for you to sign off on. Estetica Design Studio manages the whole process behind the scenes allowing the process to be as smooth as possible for you.

For Furniture Curation do you offer 3D visualisations?

Accepted Answer

No, we do offer a visual montage of the selected pieces, but not 3D located within the space of your home.

Do you style the spaces?

Accepted Answer

We recommend adding a styling day to your services, where we go shopping and determine the styling pieces to add to the spaces once the furniture is all installed, and you have added items from your personal collection into the spaces. As a studio we have a less is more approach, you can always add more items to a space over time!
